Alan Johannes
Mr Alan Johannes is Chief Technical Officer at UCT TV.
He studied through Wits Technikon while serving an apprenticeship with an electronics company, and joined UCT’s newly established TV Unit, part of the Teaching Methods Unit, in 1980. This was incorporated into the Humanities Faculty in 2001. He is in charge of all-round studio maintenance (plus systems design and construction), and video production experience.

Sidney Francis
Mr Sidney Francis is Technical Officer at the UCT TV and Film Laboratory (UCT-TV).
He completed post-matric studies at Athlone Technikon and in 1989 joined UCT TV Unit , then part of the Teaching Methods Unit, as camera-operator and maintenance technician. He is in charge of all-round studio and video production experience, including the latest digital technology.

Molly Maunganidze
Senior Secretary - Baxter
Molly Maunganidze studied journalism and public relations, and worked as a communications officer in the Gender, Media and Development non-governmental sector in Zimbabwe. She also doubled up as an administrative assistant in many cases. Molly is driven, and passionate about people. At UCT TV, she handles administration and public relations portfolios.
